How can we help?

How to report a tag as lost or stolen

If your tag has been lost or stolen, please report it online or in the Linkt App. You can’t cancel a tag, so it’s important to report it as soon as possible so you don't incur tolls or fees on trips made by someone else.

To report a lost tag or order a replacement tag, follow these steps:

  • Online
  • Linkt app
  1. Log in to your account and select Tags and holders.

Screenshot of the Linkt Account portal, showing the menu opened and Tags and holders highlighted

  2. Find the tag record that applies to your lost tag.
    Report issue
  3. Select This tag is lost or stolen and follow the prompts.

You'll then be taken through the steps to order a replacement tag. The cost of the new tag will appear on your next invoice.

  1. Open the Linkt app
  2. Select 'Account'
  3. Select 'Tags'
  4. Find your lost or stolen tag (each tag has a unique serial number)
  5. Tap on the tag
  6. From the menu, tap on ‘Lost or stolen’ to let us know and follow the prompts to order a replacement
  7. Confirm your details
  8. Select ‘Place order’

Travel while waiting for your tag

Your tag can take 7-10 business days to arrive.

You can still travel on toll roads while waiting for your tag to arrive. Just make sure you add your vehicle to your account and you’re covered for travel. You will be charged a video matching fee when you travel without a working tag.

Once you receive your tag, make sure it is correctly installed, then you’re good to go.

Tag non-return fees

If you file a report with the police and provide us with a Police Event Number (PEN), we may waive your tag non-return fee.

If you don’t provide us with a PEN, you’ll need to pay the tag non-return fee ($15), which will be charged on your next statement. There is no cost for a replacement tag.

If you find a tag after reporting it as lost

If you find a tag you’ve reported as lost or stolen, you can return it to us, and we’ll refund the $15 tag non-return fee.

Please include a note with your full name and account number and post the tag to:
