Using rental or hire cars with LinktGO
Before you drive, always check with your rental agency about how to pay for planned and unplanned toll road travel. This is because rental or hire vehicles are often linked to a tolling account that’s managed by the rental agency.

Using LinktGO to cover your trips
You can use LinktGO if you’re renting from an agency that does not have any toll payment account or tag.
For rental agencies with existing arrangements to cover toll road travel, you may still be charged extra fees, even if you pay with LinktGO.
If you’re unsure, check with the rental vehicle agency to find out whether they have a tolling arrangement in place.
Add or remove rental vehicles from the LinktGO app
- Open the LinktGO app
- Select ‘More’ on iOS or ‘Menu’ on Android devices
- Select ‘My Vehicles’
- Select ‘Add vehicle’
- On the ‘Rental vehicle?’ screen, set the toll travel end date by selecting ‘Yes’
- Set an end date for the temporary vehicle (Make sure you set it for at least 24 hours)
It’s important to set an end date, so that you don’t get charged for someone else’s trips.
