Using your Linkt Rental Account

If you rent from Apex, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Goldcar, or Sixt, we'll automatically set up a Linkt Rental Account for you. You'll get an email or SMS with your account details. If your rental agency isn't listed, please contact them directly for toll road arrangements.

How it works

  1. Drive on any toll road in Australia.
  2. Toll charges and a $3.30 daily fee (per day of travel) will be billed to the card you provided to the rental agency.
  3. You will receive your rental account username via SMS from Linkt. Visit forgot my password and use the reset your password function with the username provided.
  4. Log into your Linkt Rental Account to track trips and download statements.

Trip statements

  • Your Linkt rental account will be created approximately 3-5 days from your first trip on a toll road
  • Statements are generated 10 days after your first trip and updated monthly with any trips that may have missed your first statement
  • Toll charges will appear on your card statement as ‘Linkt Sydney’ regardless of where you rented or travelled within Australia 

Important information

  • Your account is only for the car you rented.
  • Every time you rent a vehicle from a rental agency, a new account will be created. Additionally, a new account will be set up for each individual toll road you use.
  • Your account closes 120 days after your last trip.

Using your own Linkt Account

  • You can use your own Linkt tag by installing it in the rental car before you travel.
  • Your Linkt tag account will cover toll charges, so you won't be charged twice.
  • Remove your tag when you return the car to avoid extra charges.
  • Avoid adding rental car details to your existing Linkt account, as it may be overridden by the rental agency's arrangement.
  • If your tag doesn't work, your Linkt Rental Account will cover the tolls.
