Vehicles and the LinktGO app
You can register a car or motorcycle to the LinktGO app. For any other vehicle types, register them as a ‘car’, and we’ll send through any price adjustments as needed if your vehicle is a different vehicle class.
Trailers and caravans
If you’re towing a trailer or caravan with its own number plate, make sure you register its number plate to LinktGO (as well as your vehicle number plate) to ensure you don’t receive any toll invoices or notices.
Trailers and caravans may be charged as a different vehicle class, depending on the toll road you are travelling on.
We recommend checking your vehicle class for each toll road you intend to travel on, because the vehicle class is determined by the overall dimensions of the vehicle and towed vehicle, at the time of toll travel.
Light commercial vehicles or heavy commercial vehicles
If you have a light commercial vehicle or heavy commercial vehicle, we recommend a Linkt account instead of LinktGO. But, if you do decide to use a commercial vehicle with LinktGO, add it as a ‘car’ and we’ll send any price adjustments after your trip.
How to add a vehicle to LinktGO
- Open the LinktGO app
- Select ‘More’ from iOS or ‘Menu’ from Android devices
- Select ‘My Vehicles’
- Select ‘Add vehicle’
- Select your vehicle state
- Enter your number plate
- Select up to five days in the past, if you’ve already travelled on a toll road
- Set an end date and time (It is important to set an end date if this is a rental vehicle or temporary vehicle)
- Confirm all details and select ‘Confirm’
Make sure all details are correct, otherwise you risk receiving a toll invoice or notice after travelling on a toll road.
