Roadworks and closures
We regularly carry out maintenance on our roads and tunnels and while we do our best to avoid disruptions, sometimes temporary traffic changes are needed to keep everyone safe.
In the event of adverse weather conditions or other delays, works will be postponed to the next available shift. Our roadwork pages are updated regularly.
5 April 10pm – 6 April 1pm AEDT
To support the Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids event, a number of closures will be in place on CityLink and around the West Gate Freeway from 10pm Saturday 5 April to 1pm Sunday 6 April.
CityLink closures
- Domain Tunnel closed from 10pm, Saturday 5 April to 12.30pm Sunday 6 April (see detour below)
- Bolte Bridge closed inbound between Footscray Road and West Gate Fwy on Sunday 6 April, 4.50am to 1pm
- Batman Avenue inbound exit closed from 11.59pm Saturday 5 April to 1pm Sunday 6 April.
Domain Tunnel Detour: Take the Punt Road exit prior to the Domain Tunnel, turn left onto Punt Road and continue north, turn left onto Swan Street/Olympic Boulevard, turn right onto Alexandra Avenue, continue onto City Road, turn left onto Power Street, and take the Power Street entry ramp to enter the West Gate Freeway westbound.
