Travelling interstate
All Linkt accounts cover travel on toll roads in Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland.
With a Linkt account, toll costs from your interstate travel will be charged to your account as normal. You can travel interstate with or without a tag, just as you do in Sydney.
To calculate your interstate toll travel costs, use our toll calculator for your destination:

Travel with a tag
Your tags will work on all toll roads in Melbourne and Queensland. If you use a tag to travel, make sure your tag is installed correctly.
With Tag Accounts, some roads may not trigger your tag's 3 beep low balance warning. It's a good idea to log in to your account to check your account balance regularly, or set up auto top ups to make sure your tolls are covered and avoid toll invoices.
Travel without a tag
If you travel without a tag, make sure your vehicle's licence plate number is linked to your account before you travel and you're good to go. When you travel without a tag, you'll be charged a video matching fee, as well as the toll.
Buying a pass
Instead of using an account, you can buy a pass to cover your interstate travel.
- Choose a Pass for travel in Melbourne
- Buy a Road Pass for travel in Queensland
If you've already travelled interstate
If you've already travelled interstate without an account or pass, you may be able to cover your travel by opening an account or buying a pass depending on where and how long ago you travelled. Find out more about covering past trips.
Your Tag, Tagless or Commercial account can cover trips made up to 9 days ago on all toll roads in Queensland, NSW and Victoria, except for the Sydney Harbour Bridge & Tunnel (NSW), or EastLink (Victoria).
