Paying tolls with BPAY or cash

Whether you can pay your tolls with BPAY or cash depends on what type of account or pass you have and how you set it up. Both BPAY and cash can be used if you need to pay a toll invoice.

If paying with BPAY or cash is important to you, it’s a good idea to understand your options before you open an account or buy a pass.

BPAY

To pay your tolls with BPAY, all you need is a biller code and reference number. These can be found at the bottom of your payment statement or toll invoice.

Here are the payment arrangements that let you pay with BPAY:

  • Tag Account
    Only available when you pay with manual top up. If you’ve recently switched from auto top up to manual top up, you will need to wait until you receive your next account statement to find your BPAY biller code
  • Commercial Account
    Only available when you pay manually
  • Toll invoices
    Payments with BPAY must be made on or before the toll invoice due date. The biller number won’t work after the due date, so you’ll need to pay with a different payment option

Cash / In person

You can pay in person using cash at participating retail outlets to:

  • Manually top up a tag account
  • Buy a toll credit pass
  • Pay a toll invoice
