Strengthening works completed on the Bolte Bridge and West Gate Freeway connection

Strengthening works on the West Gate Freeway overpass that connects to the Bolte Bridge have been successfully completed.

Vehicles up to 68.5 tonnes can now use all lanes on the overpass in both directions – heading outbound towards Melbourne Airport, and westbound towards Geelong.

Changed traffic conditions 

All lanes are now open to 68.5 tonnes.

Drivers heading outbound (towards Melbourne Airport) should use the two left lanes from the West Gate Freeway to enter CityLink.
