There will be lane, road and ramp closures on CityLink in June and July.
West Gate Tunnel Project (WGTP) works will focus on building the new road connections between the west, the north and the city. The CityLink maintenance works will help ensure we keep Melbourne moving for years to come.
You can still travel on CityLink but please keep in mind sections of the road may be closed and detours will be in place.
Remember to follow the detour signs and allow extra travel time.
Traffic disruptions on CityLink
- Sun 16 June - Sat 22 June
- Sun 16 June 9pm – Mon 17 June 5am: CityLink/Monash Freeway closed outbound from Burnley Street to Toorak Road (Burnley Tunnel remains open).
- Sun 16 June 9pm – Thu 20 June 5am: Multiple lanes closed in both directions between Flemington Road to Racecourse Road.
- Mon 17 June 9pm – Tue 18 June 5am: CityLink/Monash Freeway closed inbound between Toorak Road and West Gate Freeway (including Domain Tunnel).
- Tue 18 June 10pm – Wed 19 June 5am: Burnley Tunnel closed.
- Fri 21 June 9pm – Sat 22 June 11pm: Multiple lanes closed on CityLink outbound between Footscray and Dynon Roads.
- Sat 22 June – Mon 28 July
- Sat 22 June 11pm – Sun 23 June 7am: CityLink closed outbound between Dynon Road entry ramp and Footscray Road exit ramp.
- Fri 5 July 9pm – Mon 8 July 5am: Footscray Road inbound exit ramp closed.
- Fri 26 July 10pm – Sat 27 July 11pm: Multiple lanes closed on CityLink inbound between Footscray Road exit ramp and Footscray Road entry ramp.
- Sat 27 July 11pm – Sun 28 July 7am: CityLink closed inbound between Footscray Road exit ramp and Footscray Road entry ramp.
