What should I do if I've travelled on a toll road?
Options to cover your travel
If you travelled on a Queensland toll road, perhaps by accident, don't worry. There are a number of options to pay for your toll road travel afterwards so long as you do so within the required time frames:
Trip coverage overview
How far back you can cover your travel depends on your product and where you've travelled. Use the table below to calculate how many days back you are covered for (up until midnight) when you open an account or pass or add a vehicle to an existing account or pass.
Account or pass | State | Roads covered | Days covered |
---|---|---|---|
Tag Account or Tagless Account | Queensland | All toll roads in Queensland | 9 days |
New South Wales | Cross City Tunnel, Eastern Distributor, Hills M2, Lane Cove Tunnel, M5 East, M5 South-West, NorthConnex, WestConnex M4, WestConnex M8, Westlink M7 in New South Wales | 9 days | |
Sydney Harbour Bridge & Tunnel | Past travel not covered | ||
Victoria | CityLink | 9 days | |
Eastlink | Past travel not covered | ||
Road Pass | Queensland | All toll roads in Queensland | 5 days |
If you don't cover your travel within these time frames, you'll be charged additional fees. When this happens, a toll notice will be sent to the vehicle’s registered owner for each trip made on a toll road more than 10 days ago. How to pay a toll notice
If you receive a toll notice, you can save on fees by opening a Tag or Tagless account and transferring the toll notice to your new account.
