Unpaid toll notice reminders
If we find unpaid toll notices from the last 30 days for any vehicle linked to your account, we'll display an unpaid toll notice reminder in your account.
If you:
- Were driving the vehicle at the time, please pay these invoices as soon as possible to avoid additional fees
- Own the vehicle but weren't driving it at the time, you can nominate another driver to pay the invoice
- Didn't own the vehicle at the time of travel, we recommend removing the vehicle from your account. The vehicle's owner will receive the toll invoice
Avoid future toll notices
If you use Australian toll roads at least a few times a year, you may prefer to open an account or buy a pass to cover your travel. With Tag and Tagless account options, an active Linkt account means you’re always good to go.
Setting up an account or pass before you use a toll road – or arranging one up to 9 days after – will help you avoid the admin fees in a toll notice. So, it can often work out to be a more cost-effective way to pay for your toll road travel.
With a Prepaid, Postpaid or Commercial Account, you can cover trips made up to 9 days ago in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, except for EastLink (VIC), and the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Tunnel (NSW). Learn more about covering past trips.
Is the toll notice really from us?
If something about a email or sms seems odd to you, the best thing you can do is take a minute and come back to it with fresh eyes.
We do not ask you to provide payment details via links in text messages or emails, and we encourage you to always log in directly to your account – whether that’s via the Linkt website or the Linkt app.
Some practical things to look out for are:
- incorrect spelling and grammar.
- strange links that don’t look like legitimate websites
- vague or unspecific details, and
- the use of urgent language or threats/consequences if you don’t take immediate action.
Just because they say it’s from Linkt doesn’t mean it’s from us. Check out the ways we'll contact you.
