Notifications and device permissions for the Linkt app
You can customise your experience with the Linkt app by updating your notification and permissions preferences.
Enable push notifications
Push notifications are messages sent to your mobile device from the Linkt app. They alert you about important information, like payment reminders and account alerts.
You can manage your notification preferences in the Linkt app at any time by following these steps:
- Open the Linkt app
- Tap ‘More’
- Tap ‘Notification settings’
- Use the sliders to update your notification preferences
Manage device permissions
When you use the Linkt app, it will ask for access to your device’s camera and motion and fitness tracker. This is to unlock 2 app features that depend on these mobile functions to work.
Camera access
Granting the Linkt app access to your camera lets you scan your credit or debit card through the app. This lets you update your payment details without manually typing them in.
Motion and fitness access
Your safety is our top priority, so we’ve developed a way to temporarily block the Linkt app if it detects you might be driving. For this to work, the app needs access to your phone’s motion and fitness tracker.
The Linkt app doesn’t collect, store or transmit any of your personal motion and fitness data, or your personal images. Please remember, it’s illegal (and unsafe) to drive while using your phone in all Australian states and territories.
